As a photo of an alleged new APC model has been leaked ahead of its public release, B&T wants to clarify some details and possible timelines for the release. At the request of an EU law enforcement agency, B&T Switzerland designed an APC9 upgrade kit that will allow for the use of GLOCK magazines as well as an interchangeable receiver attachment that will accept Magpul and other aftermarket AR style grips. The kit, which at the time of this writing will include a redesigned lower receiver and bolt, allows the requesting agency to integrate the APC9 alongside their GLOCK sidearms. As a reminder, the lower receiver in the B&T APC line of firearms is not the serial/regulated part - the upper receiver is what the ATF classifies as the actual firearm.
Although the new APC package is designed for a specific purpose, B&T notes the availability of U.S. by the end of 2018. Additionally, since the APC and GHM9 have the same lower receiver, in theory the kit will work on both models, if an additional GHM9 bolt design is offered in the future. MSRP for the GLOCK APC kit was not mentioned for the EU or US versions.
For now, plans for the new GLOCK APC kit are limited to a 9mm version and B&T did not mention that an APC45 kit is available in the future.
